Mar 7/09 Results There was a 64% increase in tests for this second show of the Winterfest Dressage Series at Blacks EC. Thank you to the new and continuing competitors supporting this new series. Tests ranged from Walk/Trot to a new 2009 Prix St. Georges test courtesy of Lee Tubman and De La Rosa who showed at the prestigious Devon Show, Pennsylvania last September and are preparing for another big year. Congratulations to Crystal Ripa and Summer Games who are leading the Amateur Championships for the Winterfest Dressage Series at Blacks EC, plus currently leading the High Point Dressage standings for the overall Winterfest Series after this show. Also thanks to Mike Schram from Shoot Photographic. Show photos are posted on www.shootphoto.ca Feb 14/09 Results The Winterfest Dressage Series at the renamed Hendervale facility, now Bronte Creek, was off to a very good start with 47 tests entered, up 88% from the first show last year. A wide range of tests from Walk/Trot to FEI were ridden. Thank you to sponsor Equestrian Factory Outlet, Guelph Area Store, for providing Series Championship prizes for the shows at Bronte Creek. We thank judge Kellie Towers, and scribe Candice Sarnecki-Scarpelli. Facility staff prepared the arena and footing for us, completing additional footing and dust suppressant, plus general clean up. Remarks were positive about the ring and set up. Photographs were taken by Andrew Bailini, and may accessed on www.photosbybailini.com Feb 7/09Results There was a light turnout with 14 tests entered to begin the Winterfest Series at Blacks Equine Centre but on a postive note it allowed extra time for competitors and management to get settled in for our first Winterfest Dressage Show at this facility. Tests ranged from Walk/Trot to 4th Level. We enjoyed a mild almost Spring like day, and appreciate how facility staff prepared the footing so well in the competition ring and warm-up arena. Positive comments about the show and encouragement received about the Series were appreciated. Competitors gained a head start on Series Championships and overall Winterfest Series High Point awards, and entering their ballots into the draw for the 50,000 AeroPlan points prize. Championship Charts are posted here and will be updated each show. Thank you to sponsor Dreamridge Tack Shop for providing discount coupons to competitors at the show, and for also providing prizes to Champions of this Series. Thank you to judge Rebecca Schoenhardt, and scribe Kristy Nahirniak for their work and positive input on the location and opportunities here. Results are posted using the link to the left. Also thanks to Rob Taylor, show photographer, who advised photos will be up on his web site www.taylordgraphics.com/horses.html by mid week. Thank you again to all who participated at this inaugural show. We look forward to growth from show to show as occurred in 2008 at Hendervale as people realize this new Series and location provides another very good opportunity to further develop horses and riders with their dressage skills.
